I have an excellent original Ford rear seat spring from a 46 Ford that fits 41-48 Ford Tudor sedan. It is the upper( back rest ) spring. No rust, has original paint.

Need partial set of 1949-53 Ford piston rings, 4 groove,standard bore 3 1/16
Actually need just one oil ring in the 4th groove. 46-48 ford should also fit.
What do you have?

Update....Dropped the pan and turned out to be connecting rod problem.

If youre using repro condenser and points they are junk. I had problems on initial start up because of weak spark. Bought NORS condenser and point and it started right up.

Im 81 and still work in the garage just about every day. Been restoring cars for 50 years and my daughters say it keeps me young. Life would be awful boring without old fords....amen

Arrow Removing oil pan on 42-48 ford car

Have to remove the oil pan on 51 flathead with truck 8RT oil pan on my 46 Ford coupe.
Do I have to jack the front of the engine to remove the pan or is there enough clearance ?
At my age, want to...
