The reputable folks who sell replacement data plates wont change the numbers of the serial number,body style,etc.


They will change paint color codes and interior trim codes.

At this past Carlise I saw an Offy manifold for a flathead with a teapot mounted on it.


First time I had seen (or heard) of that being used. It was pretty neat looking....

It should have some information stamped on the bottom horizontal base of the carb.


Can you tell us what that information is?


Does it have a spark valve on the side?

Tyrolean Blue is listed as a Spring color for 1956 and has a code of 05A.

rotor-respectfully the Service Bulletin is #6 for the charts (and more).

That is followed up by a "Special Paint Bulletin" (not numbered) of 14 pages consisting on instructions to Flo-Tone...

Kultulz is barking up the right tree as the three digit paint schemes that all had prefixs starting with "2"...

I just pulled this from a 55 Bird. Not sure if it was the original assembly or not.


I was under the impression that they are Dana 45 assemblys.

Using the smaller bearing , lighter duty axles...
