The Jeep wheels have a bigger center hole, and they Never had
any provisions for mounting a small hubcap. ;););)

The wheel on the left rear is a '39-'41 Lincoln Zephyr wheel.
The other 3 wheels...

Also, the '40-'41 wheels have the flat area around each lug hole.
The '46-'48 are volcanod out around each lug hole, making them

I think it only has the 5 studs, but that's why I think it looks
like it has spring clips for the hubcaps, as the early Lincoln has.

Dave, as Frank said, make sure the lug holes look good.
Then, they will have to remove the tires to check for any deep rust
in the bead area of each wheel as that would weaken the metal.

Dave, the rear wheel looks like it has spring clips to mount a small hubcap to,
which would be early Lincoln, or maybe I'm not seeing it clearly.

The temp gauge inside the car, in instrument cluster is, of coarse, showing
your engine temp, NOT the air temp inside the car. :eek:
Like David said, maybe you have a manifold heater letting engine...

If Kevin says it's a good plan, then I would follow his advice.
Your Old 34 Coil, even if Not completely wore out, is pretty
old, and Skip will update it and give you peace of mind.

You should have a positive ground system, so your negative side of the battery
is the hot wire. Run a wire from the negative side of the battery to the negative
on the coil and see if it starts....

If the hot wire to the coil helps get the engine to start, then you can
check to see if the problem is the ballast resister or the switch or the coil
or the condenser..
