Re: AutoLite heater install

That is a genuine Autolite waffle manifold. Here is a picture of the cover that should be used with it (captured off of ebay). The item number for it is:284140039821.

Re: AutoLite heater install

I'll have to agree with Benson and Taffrail. That's not the correct firewall opening for a Autolite Waffle Heater. Here is a photo of my Autolite, your hole is definitely in the wrong location.

Re: AutoLite heater install

If you have a original Autolite waffle exhaust manifold, I would look on-line for the original cover for it. It will lineup better with the hole in the firewall.

OMI: Buy a good mechanical temperature gauge for $50.00 and do away with all the excess batteries and wiring.

Re: 283 Model A Pistons

Terry, I believe AER only offers different length rods that will work with the OEM 283 piston. That won't work for me as I am considering buying the new Terry Burtz Model A engine which comes with...

Re: Points

I agree with "Kevin in NJ": New points have to be adjusted frequently until they wear into the cam. A good friend of mine drove his Model A to Florida this summer and he put in new points just before...

Re: 16" Wheels

Widening the wheels seems like a lot of expense for not much gain. I have stock 5 inch wide 35 Ford wheels on which I mounted 225/75R16 tires. The tires don't like at all oversized for the rims and...

Re: Dynamic dampening front pulley

I agree with Synchro909, the pulley did make a difference on my engine which had harmonic vibrations at 1500 and 2200 RPMs before I installed the pulley. Like Synchno909 said, installing a fan belt...

tuneman: I purchased an after-market TPMS that plugs into a cigarette lighter. I chose one that a knew worked on 6 volts. Because I am using 35 Ford 16 inch wire wheels, the included valve stems are...

Re: 16" Wheels

The LT designation means Light Truck......ie stiffer sidewalls. Try to stick with passenger car tires. The Westlake tires I bought are really nice tires and cheap too at $67 each. The 225/75R16 size...
