Number 685 is an early water pump engine. I believe 684 would be also. The front of your engine does not appear to be one of these.

Before the stickers, there were metal plates which were glued to the door pillar. Ford Parts and Supply offered these in the 60's; the other is an old one from the good old days.

The larger one is for the glass type sediment bowl on the firewall. These used to be included in all the full engine gasket sets, usually made from cork.

Every year, without fail, something comes up an blows that swap meet out of the water for me. Heard it was very good for brass this year.
