Re: 41 pick up fuel tank sending unit

I managed to salvage the tank on my '41 pickup (with a lot of cleaning) and used a Drake unit. No problem in 12 years.

Re: L100 Camshaft using 59ab valves

For whatever it is worth here is my experience with an L100 in my 276 with 3- 97's. I like the acceleration thru the gears, but if the RPM's go below 2000 the engine will buck. I don't go over 4000...

Re: '40 and '41 Pickup

That is true.....my 41 was originally a 6 and the radiator mount was further ahead than a 8 to accommodate the longer engine.

Re: Lawsons 97's ( LC ) + vintage kits

If I attempt a swap copper will be a chore, but steal would be much more difficult to fish it around and make the bends. Why not copper it was OEM.?

Re: Lawsons 97's ( LC ) + vintage kits

I recently had a 97 flood out. There was a small glob of rubbery stuck on the end of the needle valve allowing fuel to pour into the bowl. I use a mechanical pump without the site bowl. It has a very...

Re: New 1940 Truck project

Another way to identify a 1941. The tailgate does not have a V8 imprinted on it. That year offered 4,6 and 8 cyl. engines. Mine was a 6 which had a radiator mounting farther ahead. That had me...
