Heater in 36 Ford

I am attempting to install a early 1940s Car Heater in my 1936 Cabriolet.
The car is 12 volt and I will use a reducer for that part.
I intend to Install on the center trans hump and I may hang it...

Don took the words right out of my mouth. My 36 has one sceew on each side hidden by the upright wood spacer.

I had a 36 Cabriolet in 64 and Now I built another one. It was decked when I got it. I put in a rumble and spare on back of the car. My wife loves the look and you know what that means. "I love it"...

Here it is morning and although Wescott did not have the striker plate, thanks to Don's pictures, I was able to use the part number in Google and come up with CW Moss.
Moss has the Rumble striker...

Can you send me a photo of the location of the screw and plate to help me locate where to cut a hole to access the sending unit or measurements of nearby...

1936 steering options

Anyone know a better option than the '36 original steering box that is not a tremendous project. Winter is coming and I don't mind a project but I want to keep my original column and wheel.

While I don't know what a "dicky/rumble seat" is. I do have a1936 cabriolet with a rumble seat and it has a hole the size of a quarter on bottom of each side of the rear pan where you have the rust...
