I would like to know if 1937 Ford 3 speed transmissions are the same for truck (1/2ton ) and cars. I don’t know if this is the right place , but what the , thanks

I bought a car(vw) and the way they lowered it was by drilling shocks and pounding a3/8 bolt into it to hold the shock in down pos.
