Re: Did someone say Shoebox?
Crappy chrome waterneck leaks a little. Front dipstick tube seal also. 80mph on the freeway, 160*, I ain't gonna complain. Now, if I can get it to hold still long enough to swap front springs,...

Re: AV8 - banjo rear vs Ford 8" question?
I used a conversion based on a Hot rod works. My dad was a toolmaker for GM. See the connection? I ran a '36 banjo behind my 286 Flatty/5 Spd combo. Worked great. Low $$ fir what you gain.

Re: Hot rod T sedan
Guys,
Don't get me wrong. I fully appreciate damn near any old car. I'd love to have a stock A or T. Do I gave the patience to maintain one for how often I would drive it? Probably not. I do,...

Re: Hot rod T sedan
Here's my take...I could spend $20k to restore a $7,000 care. Or I could spend $7,000 and build a $20k car.
And, I've been on the HAMB for 7 yrs. spreading the gospel of TRADITIONAL HOT RODS.

Re: 8BA/T-86 Sanity Check
I used a T5 behind my stroker Merc. 4:11 gears and overdrive made it a rocket out of the hole while delivering 30+ mpg on the freeway. Sometimes, technology is a good thing.

Dude, I'm there! Decided to 'repair' the spare tire well in my '51 with an insulated cooler. Rust has no place in my cars!
