Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons
Apparently, that wagon was built out of a '55 Crown Vic. They kept the original CV roof jus to the "B" pillar and cut the rest off, then they had to build the back portion of the roof to mate with...

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons
I did use my '55 4-dr sedan as a bulldozer in 1989 to knock down two loads of 60 tons of dirt each down flat. It did work very well.
I had found a 8 ft long 1" x 24" plank that had been previously...

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons
Ah Ha, somebody sneaked in and put a '56 Fairlane Victoria rear bumper on that two-tone green '56 Parklane wagon. But the wagon still has the original tailpipe that bends out toward the side. Anybody...

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons
I like those TIRES on that aquatone-blue and white '55 Ford 2-dr wagon (fake Parklane). Notice how they only have a little strip of black between the wheel and I.D. of the whitewall. So they're not...

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons
When I was a kid (thousands of years ago), and happened to see a 2-door wagon for the first time, I said to myself; Why would anybody want to buy a wagon that can haul a boatload of people, who would...

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons
I agree the car looks better without that "cow-catcher" on the front of it. But I coulda used one like that back in '93 when I was on a 2-lane highway between Eagle and Gypsum Colorado during a...

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons
[QUOTE=scicala;1572365]When I looked closely at the picture of the blue '60 Courier that you posted in post #80, I could see there didn't appear to be a 2nd row seat, and also it appeared the front...

Re: Two-Door Ford and Mercury Wagons
Well, I have a '55 Courier sedan delivery wagon, but they did offer 2-door passenger wagons around that time also.
