I have been working on my 53 Flathead V8,and the thermostats are no good.
I have yet to drive the car and was wondering if I could run the motor without the thermostats for a while until I determine...

Stripped threads on 53 flathead

I have a 53 flathead and some of the threads on the carburetor are in rough shape. The fuel line tightens up but leaks. Any ideas besides getting a new top piece for the carb? Any help is appreciated...

I have a 53 Ford Customline v8 and took off the fuel pump to clean and inspect it.
I did not notice that the rod was different on each end.
Does the end with the 2 grooves go into the engine?

I have a 53 Ford with a v8 flathead I purchased a diaphragm for the fuel pump and was taking it apart. I was wondering how to get it off. I see it has a slot on the shaft that connects to the pump....
