Re: hydraulic brake conversion
I guess I should have mentioned that I have a 36 with mechanical brakes. I'm not concerned about me stopping the car, I'm concerned about the other drivers who pull out in front of me to get ahead of...

Is there any feedback on how greatly Richard Lacy's (Early V-8 Garage) hydraulic brake conversion kits improve braking?

Re: 1940 Deluxe Convertible Door Alignment
That's true, Ken, several things have to be looked at including the B pillar alignment. I know on 35 and 36 convertibles there aren't many ways to adjust the doors. Add or remove shims from the bolts...

Re: 1940 Deluxe Convertible Door Alignment
When I worked for Pierce Ford in Lowell, MA in 1966, a new Mustang convertible had a driver's side door out of alignment as yours is. The service manager put a block of wood between the bottom of the...

I'm looking for 1936 spindles. They are slightly different than 1935. The 1936 spindle length is 5-3/8". The 1935 spindle length is 5-5/8".

1937-1939 front drums
I'm looking for 1937 to 1939 front drums that can be machined. It would be good if someone in the New England area had them.

Re: Title Woe’s
I feel your pain. I've had difficulties with the DMV in Massachusetts both with my 1935 and 1936. I bought my 35 in 1997 and didn't know that I was supposed to pay the sales tax within 20 business...

Re: 1940 Ford convertible
That's interesting. I just looked at one today that was a manual top. I also checked the H.A.M.B. and the posters say there were some that were manual tops and some that were vacuum operated tops....
