I drove my Tudor on Ormond Beach for several years on Thanksgiving weekend.

Always took it after to the wand car wash for some careful cleanup, focused mostly on the undercarriage......

From my experience working on 3 different 30-31 Tudors, there was NO "seam sealer" applied at factory.
Welting around gas tank, fenders and running boards was it.
If your roof material is installed...

go slow on making "improvements", not all are worthwhile.

First make sure your brakes, steering and cooling are working 100%.
If it came from a "classic car" dealer, these items are immediately...

Both unrestored As I have owned with the original 1931 upholstery had droopy door pockets.

when changing the STP in trans and diff, I just open the drain plugs and come back a few days later......
steering box does not get changed, just topped off as needed.

I have used straight STP in transmission/differential/steering box for the last 15-20 years.
Many miles and no problems.

Do not panic.
before you worry about a rebuild,
check the main bearing clearances- too much on the rear lets oil out.
then you can get the new pan gasket instsalled.

still there, now occupied by Case Western Reserve University, I think.

When I had tube problems, it was almost always around the rubber stems.
Switched to stock type metal stems and have had very few tube problems since.....
