Re: ford 47 pickup starter alignment problem

there are no shims,make sure you have the small bracket that bolts to one of the starter bolts to the oil pan, make sure you have a 59AB flywheel and not an 8BA flywheel

You have to first find out if you have a grounded solenoid or an insulated solenoid, if you have a grounded solenoid you put 12 volts to the small 10/32 terminal on the solenoid from the starter...
