I found the further / higher u get the carbs away from the engine the better for less heat & better performance! The sling shot intake is a great example, gets carb’s away from engine heat plus...

It seems pretty obvious you have to ascertain which method makes sense for the set of circumstances! If as I was in a project where head removal was required for something else anyway, the heads off...

I did what JSeery suggests. To ascertain TDC u really need to remove head & watch the piston to see highest point in stroke, use an indicator for accuracy. Then marked the pulley & made / matched the...
