Thatís what I thought.
I cleaned off the carbon in one of the Pistons, and it is indeed standard.

I have not checked the bore yet, but with factory Ford parts in it, I’m guessing it’s close to standard. I have been squiring MMO in the plug holes over the years I’ve had it. So hopefully it will...

Old repair on a block I have. Cracked in same spot, pinned, sleeved & new seat. Of course later it got moisture in block from sitting outside for many years.

That “screw” type of shackle pin is used on a lot of semi trucks as well. It is a very long lasting pin if lubricated properly.

Well originally it had a 48 axle in it with the holes in the axle for the shock mounts. But that axle was bent and I found this one to replace it with.

Thanks, yeah I’ve seen where people will just drill a hole through the axle and put a standard shock mount in but I didn’t want to do that unless I have to.

I’ve never done this conversion, but I have a 35 3W with a trunk. You will definitely need hinges and the driver side trunk prop.

I’ve come close to hitting them a few times in the last 25 years up here. They will destroy a car/pickup if hit squarely.

Never used one of those, although it does look easier than the cork. But I’ve never had a problem with cork and a little rtv to join the pieces.
