Wow! It's hard to believe that any engine builder does not know about bearing crush! This is about as basic as it gets, and insert bearings have been around far longer than any current engine...

Regarding a foundry, don't you think Terry has checked high and low for one? Sometimes you just have to face reality!

That would be simple: Just engineer and install a balance shaft, like modern four bangers have. With some (major) machining you might be able to adapt one from a modern engine by changing the size...

Agreed, but how many in the hobby will 'put their money where their mouth is"? A lot of 'I like it', but how many "I WILL buy it"s out there??
