In Australia Clutch is on left and accelerator pedal (gas Pedal) is between the clutch and brake.

First check the brass clip fits in the opening. You hay find that you will need to file some of the sides to help it fit. Second Liquid soap on rubber helps them slid into place.

On the early 28's the dogbone has two small springs that fit on the ends. This helps to maintain tension when it is assembled. if you search really hard you will find reference to these.

i want to clean up the threads on my early 28 fuel shutoff valve.

Steve be careful that rivet that holds the handle is a stepped rivet. You should be able to get one from the suppliers over there. I had to make them for my car. I used a square shaft flat head...
