thank you rotorwrench, does 2000 rpm at 55 mph seem like too much of a load for my 239? what would the correct rpm be at that speed?

I am new at this, but I think carrier, gears, shims, I assume the bearings will interchange, but new seals the axles should fit they are 19 spline

my rpm will b 2000 at 55 mph, I am looking at Speedway for the parts, is that the right place?

my 49 F1 is 3:92.1, and I'm thinking of changing to 3:08.1
the transmission is heavy duty 3 speed on the floor
has any one done that and with good results?
it is an 8BA built by Walt

I will keep it off the interstate til I find an overdrive transmission
is there one that is a floor shift I really don't know how they shift

rpm is 2770 at 55 wonder if a complete rear assembly can be adapted that will give a ratio that do 22 2300 at 55

my 49 Fi really revs up at 55 mph, and the ratio is 4: 27
what is the best solution to drive at 65 and reduce rpms

on my 37 rear end there the numbers stamped where I understand the gear ratios would be and it is 1 39 and a inch or two away is stamped 2 and that is all how can you tell the ratio from this?
