Re: Hagerty Car Insurance
I had one of my antique vehicles insured by Gulfway. My State Farm agent is great! She knows all about antique auto insurance, valuations, and limits. She cut me a quote that has better coverage at a...

The entire show is staged. I refuse to waste my precious free time watching that garbage. I apologize for being so blunt, but I see no point in sugar coating the truth.

Re: Engine Oil?
I just had another epiphany. When I first bought my A I thought that oil was a one-size-fits-all kind of a deal. In the two years that I have owned my car, I have learned a substantial amount about...

Re: Engine Oil?
My 2 cents plus tax:
I know the history of my car going back to 1968. The previous owners told me to run non-detergent 30 or 40 weight, and change the oil every 600 miles. I'm not one to fix what...

Re: Inexpensive floor console
You're very welcome, Doug. I've learned so much from you and the rest of the Ford Barn gang over the years. It's nice to know that I can contribute in some small way.

Inexpensive floor console
I really wanted an inexpensive console for my '30 Town Sedan to put my water bottles and phone somewhere other than the front seat. The consoles specifically designed for Model A's cost $90; way out...

Re: If you could only do one... $$$
For me, neither. I would rather throw $2300 towards the purchase of another Model A to feed my addiction.

Re: Available 6 volt bull horn kit?
Tom,
I wondered the same thing. I have a concern about mounting a 12 volt negative ground horn into a 6 volt positive ground system. Do you think polarity would be a problem?
Guess I gave s...

Available 6 volt bull horn kit?
My Town Sedan has the original 6 volt positive ground electrical system. I want a bull horn kit. I’ve searched for the Jubilee No. 90 kit in 6 volt, but they are extremely rare. All I can find are...

Re: introduction
There is a very active Facebook group for AA's. Fred Carlton runs it and posts pictures daily. I don't have a link for the group, but it should be easy to find. :-)

I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs. I found a couple of ways to increase legroom without major modifications. I removed the rubber pedal pads. I bought a pair of PF Flyers (similar to Converse Chuck Taylor's). The...

Re: Ethanol Free
Ethanol is a solvent. I breaks up varnish that has built up in the tank and fuel lines. It destroys gaskets and seals. It eats the fuel tank linings. It absorbs water. I will NEVER run ethanol fuel...

This may sound like an odd question, but what condition is your battery in ? Is your alternator / generator doing an effective job of charging the battery?
