Re: Fs ignitions
Love my FS distributor. Wouldn't be caught without it. We have them in all the cars and they work flawlessly. They fail when they aren't set up correctly. I carry a spare module for emergencies but...

Re: Model A Victoria
man... hope you don't spend that extra $9 all in one place the next time you swipe your card! It supports a hobby you enjoy. I guess we all view things differently.

Re: Crazy temp gauge idea
a new mechanical temp gauge is literally $20 at the auto stores or tractor supply. Why not just save the headache and do that since it's simple and wayyy less work than you're describing.

Re: How Many 2020 Miles Did You Drive
Between the 2, only about 4,000 miles. Which had we done all of the activities this year that were originally planned, it should have been way more.

Re: Does Your A Start Right UP?
I really don't think you have anything to worry about. Mine has done this as you describe depending on climate and how long it's been since it was last started. If it sits a week, yeah it'll require...

Re: Bone Stock or Modified?
I have the same Model A that I grew up in with my grandparents. I will say when we went on tours as a kid, the Model A was purely stock with the exception of a 6v alt.
My car is now still a Model...

Re: Luggage Trunk Needed
I don’t know why it won’t allow me to upload a picture from my phone. But I can text you pictures if you’re interested. Google Kari Keen Trunk to get a visual of what it looks like.

Re: Luggage Trunk Needed
I've got a metal trunk & appropriate rack that goes with it (hard to find) that I am trying to sell. It would need to be restored, but it's a better start than what you have.
It's a Kari Keen...

Re: 12 volt?
I will never have another 6v car again. My sedan was 6v for the first 15 years my grandpa owned it. His coupe he owned for over 50 years and it was also 6v. When I put AC in the car I was forced to...

Re: Remembering George Tynan
George was a great friend to everyone and really did wonders for our hobby. He did all of it selflessly. He was always very nice. I will miss seeing him, Rosalie, and the dogs on the tours.
I was...

Re: Which Car-Like Vehicles Can Tow a Model A?
Never had any problems. People will say that it will hurt the Model A transmission, but people have towed on a tow dolly or tow bar for years and I've never heard of anything actually going wrong. I...

Re: Which Car-Like Vehicles Can Tow a Model A?
I have a Toyota 4Runner and a tow dolly. I can tow at 70MPH no problem and only know it's back there when I start up a hill. If I want to use a trailer, I use my dads truck and trailer. But the tow...

Re: Request for AC guys
That's about how I feel about it too. If there were a kit being made for a stock Model T, I bet some Model T people would buy it too.

Re: What do you carry with you?
Around town, not a whole lot. A sack of tools always stays in the car as well as a jack & lug wrench.
On long trips, I take one of everything. Water pump, carb, distributor, axle keys, fuel pump,...

Re: Which Model A for a coast to coast trip?
I have done it in both a town sedan and a coupe. Both had their benefits. The coupe is sportier, but there was a lot less room. The sedan has always been great to travel in. Plenty of room and very...

Re: Virus time off from school
Give it time... this escalated just as quick for the school system as it did for everyone else. The main priority is health which means isolating all students as quickly as possible.
