My 29 coupe came with dual spare tires. I took them off as I did not like them. I later found the top bolt that bolts to the body was broken. It looked like a new bolt, so it may have broken before.

I am running a Stromberg 97 on an Anson manifold. In order to climb hills, it needs a pump. As for wiring, I get power right off of my starter relay. The ignition switch is not part of this circuit....

You can still buy those special bolts from Mac's or Snyder's, one of those. My 29 came with two spares mounted with those same bolts. I sold them on E-Bay for more than the catalog price.

If you change to early V8 water pumps, you will also need to change the cam, timing gears, and front cover. I always build the other way, take a 59 AB and build it like a 8 BA.
