Re: Oil Filter Poser

I think we agree on the BYPASS valve. But that has nothing to do with the Model A oil pump having enough pressure to pump oil thru the filter or the anti-drainback "valve" (what some to refer to as a...

Re: Plug connector options?

Your plug connectors should not be touching the distributor body anyway. Any moisture or carbon tracking would cause a misfire. #2 & #3 should be longer.

Re: Oil Filter Poser

I have said it before on Ford Barn, as have others, the Model A oil pump is a positive displacement pump and will put out enough pressure to flow thru a filter, even one with a 12 lb. "check valve"....

I have a split floorboard that allows you to access the battery without removing the whole floor. I like keeping my car original looking as much as possible.

I agree with Chris, moving the...

I believe they only stopped using them for a short time then started using them again. My late 1930 block is machined for them.

From Bratton's catalog.

Re: Marvel Carburetor

You might ask Dave about the fiber washer for the GAV housing ("Nut" in picture). I don't think it comes with the GAV seal kit. The kit contains the seal, spring and brass washer.

I got some...
