Bolt and nut orientation

I have seen so many different ways to install bolts and nuts on specific assemblies that it is not funny.

I knew nothing of the 5-3/4" d2 front fender till your post and I have about 4 including 4 of the 7" ones. Yes, it is really to bad that it was not pointed out in the Standards as I think...

Neil,

I have three (3) of the 7" type with the flat reinforcment.

The other five (5) are of the 5-3/4" type and those have a mix of flat and forged reimnforecments.

Just what was the correct bolt attachment of the Front fender bracket to the frame?

Was it nuts to the outside or nuts to the inside?

I want to say say nuts to the inside on 1929 thru 1931...

The Murray Corporation built the body...From there those bodies were shipped to the varrious Ford Assembly plants throughout the world. Some in Knock-Down form...some already painted and ready for...

Steve, honestly not much because the RG&JS is not an all-inclusive answer book. Everything written in that book is not 100% correct. Therefore just because something is written in that book does...

I have just received Snyder's Exhaust Manifold for use on the Model A/AA Ford. I must say it appears to be a very fine casting and true to the form at first glance.

However it has a ruff surface...
