dog dish hub caps
I am looking for dog dish/bowl hubcaps for my 53 merc - the original full sized hub caps keep coming off since putting on new tires and was told this is because they flex more than the old bias ply...

Overdrive fixed!!!

Well..... I was able to gently twist mine (my friend said give it a go as he has a couple back up ones - if you have one with the pin in the right position would like a pic to compare to ensure mine...

Well, dont want to bugger anything up in the transmission so will try it with cable pulled out - when going downhill it should 'engine brake' for me as I understand.

No it does not - going downhill on the freeway I am constantly on the brakes as it wants to run away on me - just like having the clutch in.
