Re: The Good Old Days in a Model T Ford
That's an interesting photo with the headlight covers and the Japanese flag. It looks like a 1916 with Sankey wheels and KW Roadsmoothers.
State Library of Queensland lists it as Elizabeth St,...

Installing steering column on 1946 RHD car
I tried putting the steering column back in my 46 Business Coupe today. IÂ’m having trouble getting it past the side of the engine. Is there a trick to getting it in?
I pulled it and the engine...

I’m putting the engine back in my 46 Business Coupe and am unsure if I have the correct parts for the engine radius rods. I have a round stepped piece with a conical depression that locates on top of...

Re: Motor ID
Hi Guys, sorry I didn't post more photos. The motor turned out to be junk. I feel kind of embarrassed I bought it. I should have learned this lesson several motors ago.
Yes, it would have been a...

Motor ID
I picked up this motor today. I was told it was out of a generator for a searchlight. Does the fuel pump mount look correct? I don't think I've seen this kind before.

Monkeyface at Clermont
Nice Blitz at the Clermont Museum in Central Queensland. The tyres need air but otherwise she looks like a goer. I'm not sure what the lever on the steering column does.

That is very cool! I wish I had one of those. I have a friend in Sydney who may be able to get that up and running. I'll see if he knows of anyone in NZ who could help you out.
Do you...

Re: Autolab Distributor Check
Yes, that is the mains cable. The insulation has disintegrated where it is soldered to the switch. I plan to rewire it and replace all the capacitors.
It needs an external vacuum source to...

Autolab Distributor Check
Has anyone used one of these? It has two gauges, one for RPM (0-6,000)/Distributor (0-30) and the other for vacuum. I think it was made by Durst Electric in Sydney.

Milesmoor Condenserscope
Has anyone used one of these? It has two magic eye tubes, the kind that used to be a tuning aid on some higher end valve radios.

Re: PCV Valve on a 1939 Canadian Mercury motor
I've got a few other manifolds with the PCV setup. Some are aluminium and some are steel. I also have a different engine that has a 12 volt POD generator. I'll try and take some photos in the next...
