'41 - '48 Convertible door garnish
I have a pair of door top garnish trim pieces that have been chromed at some time and are still like new.
I have no use for them but need to establish a fair price to move them on to the next...

Certainly looks like some sort of inline noise suppression device i.e. what looks like a capacitor in the middle with a coil wound around the outside.

The other option is that it could be a series choke coil, connected in the power feed to the radio in an effort to reduce high frequency Ignition and/or Generator noise being passed through the power...

Sound like the condensation coming out the exhaust, I get that when I start my '53.
You need hardened washers under the nuts not just flat washer they MUST be hardened to function correctly.

Hi Geoff, I think you are talking about the inner fender holes? Fender skirts are fitted to the outside of the rear fenders :) I had a '42 With a 'G' series six and the radiator brackets mounted...

I would mix 20% with regular gas for long trips in my '42 Staff Car ('G' series Six cylinder) and boy it seemed to run better and sound better too. :)
