As they say it is more cost effective to look for an 85hp car. If the 60 was really cheap, there are a lot of head aches with istalling an 85. Most of all finding a GOOD engine to start with.

You may be able to find a modern Plastic Clip to replace the original type. It looks like a christmas tree and wont scratch the finish.

I like having NO Radio. Easier to work under the Dash. Strange noises are more apparent.

Find a set of 70s Ford pick up rims 15 inch. Use the 215/75 size. 225/15 are difficult to remove from the rear well opening

I would recommend replacing the ignition resistor. Mine failed on my 40 after 84 years. It was hard figure out that is was bad as it would only fail occasionaly. NAPA under 10 Dollars.

You could just loosen the bolts in the manifold and slip a piece of metal under the carb to block off the heat riser.

There was a story years ago about a Flathead with a strange miss. It turned out to be a blocked exhaust manifold , It was full of carbon. I know this is reaching but just a suggestion.

When I reupholstered my 40 Tudor, We use uphostery fron a Ford Taurus. It looks just like the original cloth uphostery. It a modern fabric that is able to resist stains.
