There are no missing pedal stops, they are on the pedals and
bellhousing.

I just use a 5/8" hole saw. Be careful if you are going to reuse the drums.

When you clean the valve chamber be careful not to get a bunch of crap in the holes that feed the main bearings.

That sound right if the points are closed. The ignition switch is between the points to coil ground path.

There should be 6V to the brake light switch at all times.
The ignition switch only controls the ground path from the
points to the coil.
