Yes I did get rid of the old wheel cylinders. They were junk. I haven't pitched the master cylinder yet, it's still in the garbage can. It's frozen solid.

Everything related to brakes is brand new with exception to the Ts and the front shoes which were new never used back in the 70s so I went ahead and used them.

Well I went to my mom's today to tinker with the car and fiddled with the distributor, disconnected the vacuum advance and got it pretty close to two lines above tdc. It was a little too hot outside...

Ah I'm an idiot lol. I see now that the distributor looks like it has a socket that sticks out below the gear.
I was trying to get a 1/4 in apex on it to try and pre pump oil through the engine...

It has vacuum secondary. I already took it apart as it was full of crap probably mud dobbers and other critters in the garage. I probably still try to rebuild it but I also can't find an air cleaner...

Thanks for the replies. So would the 1403 performer be a good choice , fit? I think I would rather have an electric choke vs trying to find a place to install a manual one in the dash.

Sia I bought one of those new HEI distributors on ebay. I don't have, never had a teapot, any dual distributor, or even a tachometer.
