Flathead to AOD adaptor
Looking for adapter to put an AOD on a 8ba. Speedway has one for $399. Hoping to do better than that. Maybe someone has one taking up space.

Need a compression ring
I broke a compression for my 8ba and hate to order a whole set for a single ring. It's .060 over for Offenhauser pistons. I don't know if they are a standard size or their own, measures .092"...

8BA comming togeather
About ready for assembly. 3 3/4, .060 over, .020/.020 crank. Four ring pistons using three rings. 95% oil filter mod done. Sent my cam in to Tony today for L-100 grind. All new stainless bolts...

Valve adjusting
In all the posts I see on adjusting valves there is a lot of emphasis on turning the engine "cam" as little as possible, and that's understandable. Now why no mention about when pistons are...

Pistons before valves
Is there any particular reason to install the valve train before pistons? Only reason I ask is that I have valve parts on order and have the pistons ready to go in.

I'm going to stay with stock heads and intake for now. I'm not looking for a lot of power and rpm gains. Would rather just reliable stop light to stop light

Cam and Head differance
How do isky max-1, 77, and 88 compare? Building a 49 for a project, not sure what it will be, thinking a trike.
Other is heads, is there any difference between ford and merc heads?
