Re: 28_29 Model A folding stanchions

There's a guy on the HAMB that has advertised chopped w/s posts. You might check with him, he might know where some stock height post could be found.

Re: Latest bubba report

Thanks for the update Jim. It’s nice to see you have a project going in the garage. Be careful. Some of the things I used to do require me to slow down.

Interesting! I would have thought, something like this would be fixed soon, but apparently not.

Re: Trailer

I just sold my 14 trailer that Ive had for over 30 years. It worked fine for Model As and it also hauled a lot of other (longer) cars too.

Re: Need to replace oxy-acetylene torch set

If you liked your Airco torch, get it rebuilt.

My first torch was a MECO Jet; which is lightweight and not clunky. I tried to buy a cutting torch for it in the mid 1960’s and was offered a good...

Re: Did you restore the car yourself?

Interesting question. Some people will tell you that they did it all, but don’t seem to have the knowledge to answer any questions about the vehicle.

One of my favorites, while looking at a very...

Re: Dealing with pitted body panels?

After application, will the top coats reactivate the primer and shrink? Does it matter what top coat you apply?

Re: Turn Signals . . . Your Thoughts

Re: Bubble balancer from HF?

The HF balancer looks just like the one I bought 45+ years ago; which is about the same price that I paid for the one I bought. I mount and bubble balance all my own tires.

Re: Portland Swap Meet, fun places to eat, etc.

If you like fish, there is Joe’s Crab Shack just north on I-5 across the river on the right, on the river. If you are going to go there, use a GPS to get there I always get lost looking for it.

Re: Portland Swap Meet, fun places to eat, etc.

It looks like that area has been worked before. I would imagine that what is left of the metal that is there, is thinner than original. Do a good repair on it, like what has been mentioned and it...
