If you are getting any electricity at all at the coil that indicates the resistor is ok.
Be sure the point gap is ok before you buy a coil.

Welding cable is larger than battery cable.
You need #0 ends for #1 welding cable.
I never buy welding cable ends (terminals): they don’t look right.

If they are left in too long they sometimes turn into sludge and you have take the apparent out with spoon. A real mess and no longer...

You don’t run them both at once.
Leave the electric turned off until it’s needed.
The mechanical pump will keep you going as always, until it quits. Then you turn on the electric pump.

That was common practice on flathead Cadillacs. I just that on three for one owner.
He said they did pump enough fuel on real steep roads in high mountains.
I also done it by adding a fuel pump up...

Hydraulic brakes always get the same amount of pressure to each wheel.
From there wheel cylinder size decides how much less pressure is put on the rear shoes compared to the front.

Hydraulic linkage does NOT always multiply the pressure going to push brake shoes against the drums.
That depends on the size of the master cylinder piston compared to the wheel cylinder size.

Ok, I figured it out.
A ‘56 Ford takes a cartridge type oil filter.
Mine takes a spin on so it is not a ‘56 but a 65. It’s been a long time since the seller told me what year this engine is....

I kinda figured it might have hydraulic lifters.
I set the timing to what seems to run best and start without kicking back on th starter.

I think I made a big mistake on the year.
I now believe it’s a ‘65 not ‘56.
When I got the motor it had an alternator, still has, the exhaust manifold was cracked, I took the manifolds from a ‘72...
