Re: Diamond B question.

I seem to have Diamond engines in the whole fleet now - three B's and one A. The one I've just rebuilt for the Coupe had a crack around a tappet boss which I had laser welded. No difference between a...

Re: Steering wheel turns light switch rod

Had a similar problem a few years back - the steering box had been overfilled with grease that had gone most of the way up the inner column causing a certain amount of "stiction" betwixt column and...

I run a couple of Diamond B engines, still on stock bores with the original pistons. I'd just smooth that chunk out, and take the same out of the others till the weights match...

Re: What Defines Over-Revving The Model A's Engine

Hope this helps with the number crunching. I tend to run along around 2-2500 rpm which with a 3.27 rear end is around 50-65 mph.

Re: 3.27 Ring and Pinion

I run a 3.27 under the back of my Coupe. Stock A gearbox, with a tuned B engine. Probably around 70hp or so. Cruising at 55-65 is no problem and I've had no problems climbing hills when we've run...

Re: 3.27 ring and pinion, anyone using one ?

To be honest the gearing is...
