The V-8 points are from a 289, 302 Ford V8 from the mid '60's thru the early '70's. Buy the best (more expensive) ones they sell, NAPA is a good place to buy them.

I have same experience as Paul (O1A). I have rebuilt both Tillotsons and Marvels, the Marvels run better than Tillotsons, in my opinion.

Two years ago I did Like J.Franklin did. New aluminized reflectors and focusing makes all the difference. I run an alternator.

Back about 8-10 years ago, some of these drives were made in India and were junk. I had one that lasted 10 starts.
The one's today are great, especially if you converted to 12 volts.

Yes he is. His name is Randy Gross you will find him in the Swap meet section, he lists brake drums and shoes and also F-100 steering. A good guy to work with.

I carefully cut through the wall with a hacksaw blade. It's easy going cutting bronze. Then use a punch to break it apart.

Try#2 response or remove the starter and clean the brushes, brush holders and commutator oil the two bushing and put it back together. Test starter before installing, should spin up to 2000-3000 rpm...
