Re: 1929 Ford Roadster Pickup
This discussion reminds me of the discussion between two French philosophers: "Yes, I know it works, but does it work in theory!"

Re: rust in 29 coupe gas tank
The tank comes out below the windshield, which stays in place. For '28-'29's it's easy to remove; simply remove the fasteners, steering wheel clamp and fuel lines (the shut-off can remain) and...

Re: Charlie Price Vintage Speed
I've never done business with Charlie but have watched his videos on Stromberg 97 rebuilding. They're great and Charlie seems to know his stuff. I'm told that it may be best to order from him via...

Re: Passing of Dear Friend Jim Langley
I was stationed at Fort Benning from '83 to '86 with my '29 roadster. Sounds like he was a great guy. Wish I could have met him. Peace brother.

Re: Wood Block Question 31 CCP
Not sure what to tell you. I assume that you bought the blocks from a reputable dealer and have a diagram showing where they go, and that you have the proper blocks at the proper locations. And they...

Re: Wood Block Question 31 CCP
I just went into the garage and had a look at my full fendered '29 CCPU. It looks like w/o splash aprons 1" or so (maybe slightly less) might be normal, but since mine has splash aprons, it seems...

My advice: lose the Tillotson. I finally took mine off after 4 years of messing with it (leaked from warpage which was dangerous and not fixable) and replaced it with a Zenith. Very happy now.

Re: Carburetor leak
I just fixed the carb leak on my PU yesterday. It's got a Zenith. It looked like a leak from around the float bowel so I ASSUMED (and we all know what that does) that the float was set too high (I...

Re: Aristocrat accessory dash
"Very old reproduction stock from the '80's"! Wait a minute, they aren't that old!
Neat looking though.
I suppose an oil pressure gauge isn't all that useful is it?

"V- Notch" on the top of cab doors
I was messing around with the truck today and just noticed that both doors have a v-notch on the top of each door. The wide part of the v faces in. There is no matching fitting on the cab at that...

"Diamond engine"
Took my '29 CCPU to Sam at Arizona Model A yesterday. Sam took a look at it and informed me that it has a "Diamond" engine, which, even though I've been messing with these since the early '60's I'd...
