WANT TO BUY:

The two door hold opens for the rear doors of 1948 Ford panel truck. Probably the same through 1952. These go near the top of the doors and keep the doors from swinging too far open....

3-D printing Model A engine parts

Some youngster over on the H.A.M.B. has figured out how to 3-D print (in plastic) Model A parts and then use that to make a mold to cast the actual piece. This stuff is WAY over my head, but it looks...

Re: who has (or is interested in) F-1 panel trucks?

When I bought Clarence in 1973 it had the "fold forward" passenger seat in it. Stupid me I put some sort of late model bucket seats in it sometime in the 80's. I have no idea what I did with those...

Re: who has (or is interested in) F-1 panel trucks?

No matter what year, rear Ford panel truck doors are made either from unobtanium or superpriceum.

Re: who has (or is interested in) F-1 panel trucks?

b-t-w; the truck in that advertisement would be just about exactly what my panel truck (Clarence; see avatar) looked like when it left the factory. Except that Clarence never had the stainless...

who has (or is interested in) F-1 panel trucks?

I'm interested in swapping information and/or stories.

I've had my 1948 panel truck since February, 1973.

Also, if you know of any of these resting in salvage yards please speak up.

EDIT...

1948 panel truck rear door latches

I'm needing the door latches for both rear doors of an F-1 panel truck. Rods, strikes, attaching plates, the whole shootin' match.

I really believe that these are the same from 1948 through 1952...

Re: thumbnail pics and full page pics?

Yeah. That's the way I see it.

In the "old days" pix could be loaded so that they showed up full size in the post without having to click on them.

Oh well; I guess it doesn't work any more.

Re: thumbnail pics and full page pics?

Let me bring this back up (eleven years later). I can only post thumbnails and don't see how to post full size.

What am I doing wrong? Or what am I missing when attaching a photo?

Re: Home made tools

'bout time for some more tools isn't it?

Here's a slide hammer a friend made from a Model A brake rod, small needle nosed vise grips, and a stack of washers that he welded together. I think he...

Re: 1951 Victoria rear ring/pinion replacement

A 3.31:1 would work just fine. Maybe even a 3.54:1. BUT, where do you find one? I've been looking for complete rears and ring/pinion sets. These things appear to be made of unobtanium.

Anyone got...

Re: 1951 Victoria rear ring/pinion replacement

Ain't happenin'. It sounds like I'll just be passing on buying this car if I can't replace the ring/pinion. I'll just continue my search for an interim driver while my other projects are "down". See...

1951 Victoria rear ring/pinion replacement

Hello folks. I've got my eye on a 1951 Victoria that's 7 hours away from me. A bit far to be running to look at it every couple of days. The rear is said to be original to the car. I've been reading...

Re: pix of 31 2-dr sedan rear wheel wells please

WOW!!!

189 views and no pix. I know you guys/gals are the world's best with Model A's, but I guess you'd rather drive them than photograph them.

Honestly I don't blame you though. I'd much...
