Dave , I managed to get the Napa 12 v to fit my heater box by extending the sheet metal case by the 1/4" , looks fine. Easy to do

I have the seat for a 1939 cabriolet, I think 1939 Tudor's are the same. I don't think 38s are the same though, so you should check if that is your application
