I had the same problem with a slight miss with the same bore/stroke engine. I found the low speed jet to be a little lean. Standard size I believe was .029ths. I drilled it out to .031ths. Runs Fine....

I'm lucky enough to have a shop with a crankgrinder and this is how I did mine.
Notice the radius to add strength. Perhaps you can find a local shop or I am in Northern NJ.
