Many a lazy electrician has been fooled by testing fuses in the holders! remove the fuse a test. Cartridge fuses are the worst, pull the fuses and check for continuity !

You could use a large socket that fits over the shaft threads and tap on the hub, I wouldn’t force the wheel down with the nut, you may strip the shaft threads, the nut only keeps the wheel tight

I left the spring on the axle when I put the overdrive in, slide the rear end out, c-clamps on the spring, stood the drive shaft up with the spring on the floor. Much easier to install for me with it...

On one of my daily drivers the rear drum brakes where squealing like metal on metal, removed the drums and the shoes where good, inside had a lot of dust, cleaned the dust out and no more noise!

4oz of MMO per 10 gal gas may help with sticky valves, swiping parts box cardboard in between the points may clean them without removing material, they need to be shiny. MMO is Marvel mystery oil...
