Chevrolet used ballast resistors for years on their ignitions. You might check to see what the ohm readings are for those resistors.

If you are a V-8 Club member check your roster for people in your area and I'm sure they can refer you to a reputable shop. It's one of the advantages of belonging to the club.

Tim, my first early V-8 in 1974 was one just like that 33. Same color with the original upholstery. Brought back a lot of memories. Those old "moredoors" are the best touring cars.

The diecast piece that holds the indicator is usually worn so bad that the shift lever will not stay in park. I don't know of any way to repair the diecast. If this is what you need I could send you...
