Are you running antifreeze ? Water will cool better by 20* and add water wetter it will run 30* cooler. Water wetter is a seal lub and anti corrosion additive

Rig up rope and pulleys to remove your hood by your self, it maybe better than with help. Park the hood right above out of the way, don't move the car and when done lower back down.

My A was running 195*+, after flushing and new antifreeze it was not much better. Distilled water and one bottle of water...

I've ground down key stock on a taper, 3inches long, hammer to fit, 12 inch adjustable wrench. Hammering helps loosen the rust penetrating oil also helps smoke wrench for really stuck plugs. Fun fun...

You not dumb, the stop light switch has power to it all the time, switch sticks and you don't see and then the battery goes dead.
