Re: 1953 mercury fuse box diagram?

If you have original wiring you may not be able to distingush between the wires unless you use a multimeter. No fuse block just some circuit breakers for the headlight/tail lights and miscellaneous...

Re: Disc Brakes V Bendix Brakes-Which performs best??

I put disc brakes on my merc and there is a noticeable difference. My reasoning is simple. Do I value my car and do i want to destroy it by slamming into a Honda that has twice the braking ability...

Re: 6 Volt Gauge in a 12 Volt Vehicle? It could be easier than you think! Voltage Red

I, for one, appreciate your resourcefulness and think this is a very cool idea. I already used runtz reducers in my merc but would try it if given the chance.

Thanks for the info Mart!

Re: Ron Francis

Re: My Friend BB wants pros and cons to upgrade to 12volt system

My 52 merc has been 12 volts for 26 years. The engine has been 12 volts for 32 years and I've never laid a hand on the starter. Just my experience. Make sure you yse the correct resistors(regulator)...

Re: where is this all going

Unfortunately politics is everywhere. You can't go shopping without hesring it. Hell, Carlisle was like a huge political rally! Such a complicated and nuanced subject yet everyone is an expert. I...

Re: 1901 teapot question

I've had pretty good luck with mine. Ethanol gas is a not good for these carbs. The varnish gums them up and they leak-alot! I think they get a bad rap. I had Sal Cicala rebuild mine and I runs...

Re: carlisle report??

I went Wed and Thurs. There was a lot more modern stuff for my taste but lots of vendors with boxes to dig through. LOTS of tool vendors too. I imagine many people were just eager to get the hell out...

Re: carlisle report??

I was there. Had a decent turnout but many spaces were empty. Not many masks being worn. My first time. Definitely want to go back there or Hershey post COVID. I had a good time.

Re: Fun at Mart's. Ol' 59 Flatty! 32 Sedan! Plus vintage machinery!

You are one resourceful guy Mart. You find ways to save these flatties that most of us would give up for scrap. Love the progress on the 32!

Re: Fun at Mart's. Old Ford Rally. 32 Sedan shocks (still). Ol' 59 Flatty Crank out.

Really liked the video! Looks like the Ute shared some basic body panels as the Fords utes. Also seems the Capris of that era were much more popular in the U. K. Than here in the U. S.. Can't wait...

Re: Painting with Acrylic Enamel question

I'd like to see how they turn out. I'm sure it's a tedious job to clean the paint off the highlighted chrome parts. Roy please post pics when you're done!
