I just completed the conversion on my '51 Tudor. For the overdrive I purchased 12 volt relay and solenoid. What has been said about the other things is correct.

I believe CJ has had this experience with Fatman uprights as have I. Fitment is terrible, I have a set and as I have mentioned in a past post the kingpins don't come close to fitting the bushings....

Hmmm, Rotor you bring up a point that had escaped me in my converting from 6v - 12v neg. ground in my '51. The points side of my dist will be neg terminal of coil yes?

I am installing an OD trans into my '51 tudor while changing to 12v. I was advised by those more wise than I, to get 12v solenoid and relay. That is what I have done.

Like most topics, opinions vary. Aluminum would not be my first choice for a radiator in my car, do I have a specific reason,... not really. I do have the radiator from Shoebox Central you mention....
