That is odd. If the goal was to scam you for your parts and not pay you thats how this scam usually works. Usually has a fake check, fake money order, etc. Then they can sell your legit parts for...

they still do that here in IL - i hate it though. Makes getting anything off either car extremely sketchy...(yes you sign the waiver and they let you bring your own tools in...)

oh yea, sometimes there would be some minor flaws about torque values or something but generally were accurate. Super helpful for most things and the electrical schematics were a godsend.

I sandblasted mine, ground out the grooves, painted with 2 coats of por 15, then slathered on my own 50/50 mix of graphite and open gear grease. Then bolted it all together and watched the grease...
