Lead body work 49 Ford
Came across some lead body work while preparing for paint. I've looked at how the two side pieces pictured are mounted and it look like Rube Goldberg was involved in the design. Did some cutting and...

Re: Mail order dual exhaust systems
The 36 woodie single stainless exhaust Waldrons built for me didn't fit. I sent back the modified crossover pipe and they replaced it with a new one. Had to pay for the materials IIRC. The 41 woodie...

I bought two of them used and one new.
I installed all 3 of the lifts by myself with the help of an engine hoist....

Re: aviation gas
Jet A and JP5 are both kerosene. JP5 has a lower freeze point as military jets fly higher than commercial jets. The freeze spec we made Jet A to was -40F. Flash max was 100F. Can't comment on JP7 as...

Re: 1936 lift points for 2 post lift
IMHO I was surprised with how light and flimsy the frame on my 36 wagon was when I took it off for paint.
I did however make 4-6 inch tall extensions for the arms to get them up high enough to...

Re: 93 octane fuel
Higher octane fuel has more resistance to pre-ignition, it is more resistant to ignite due to compression. In a gasoline engine you want the fuel ignition to be by the spark plugs.
It doesn't have...
