Re: What wheels are on this car?

Re: Best choke for downdraft carb?

Although I went to all the trouble to install a working choke for my 97 equipped Model A, I, too, have never used it. I go thru the same routine described above, and we have a lot of less than ideal...

Re: Best choke for downdraft carb?

I used the same choke cable assembly as they sell for the Webers. Used an existing hole in the firewall.

Re: Do you take your Model A to the local self serve car wash?

I use the hand wand coin operated high pressure wash only after one of our tours that typically includes gravel roads. Otherwise, a spray bottle of RainX and a yellow micro-fiber towel (from Costco)...

Re: 1931 wide bed

I have the all steel Budd cab with the indented firewall. However, it has the short bed. No information that I could obtain would point this to be other than as it came from the assembly plant in Los...

Re: Steering Gear Box

I, too, have installed an F100 steering box in my Model A. I bought it as a kit and it was a slam dunk, and at the time was pretty much a "novice". Works like a charm.

Re: TAMS Model A Parts

Re: Creating a list for what to do to winterize your A

My list is not so much preparations for storage, but "to-do" list of things that need attention that can be done during the idle winter months.

Re: Old age= hard steering

There are two products with the name of EZ Steer.

The Steering Gear made by John Kovar is a POS and should be avoided at all costs.

The E-Z Steer Kit (offered by Snyder's) is a kit uses...

Re: 5.50-19 Radials and Side Mount Fit

I have the 550R19 Excelsior Radials from Coker on my '31 CCPU. They fit the side mount spare much better than the 475-19 Firestones I had previously.
