494835My '28 came with a seat adj kit installed, I'm 6' 1" and it sure helps. Here' a pic of the adj clamp that attaches to the seat and slides over the triangular rail

Adjustable front seat

My '28 Tudor has what I think is an old after market accy that allows you to move the seat fore and aft...kind of HD clunky but it works. Anybody seen one of these?

None of the coils I have are marked and without any inclination to measure them, I just ordered a replacement, ID'ed as being a resistor, and marked on the outside... no more problem.
Don't know why...

Thanks for the tips. So the coil should be marked and if not, then assume it doesn't have built in resistor and I assume there is no visual difference between the two types of coil.

Car I bought has a ballast resistor wire cut off and hanging loose in the engine compartment.
Can someone describe how this resistor should be wired into the 12v system, with points.

I believe the small black insulators around the ammeter posts harden over time and the post contacted the case.

FYI the wires from alt to J box burned up and the ammeter needle is welded to it's case.
