Is the cap held on place like the filler/vent cap on my 59AB, where it needs to be turned an 1/8 turn counterclockwise to disengage it from the groove in the filler/vent pipe?

Here is a picture of the 59AB that is in my '46 Coupe before I cleaned it up. The "rabbit ear" distributor also indicated a 59 of some version.

According to my Ford parts book, the change in socket pin orientation started for the 42 - 48 model years. The Group No. for the part is 13410.

The wires for the tail/brake lights are: Tail wire is Black, the Brake wire is Green.
The light bulb has offset pins that match the socket, so the bulb can only go in one way.
