41 fuel tank replacement (Tanks)

Anyone swapped out the original 41 ford fuel tank and purchased one of their (Tanks) sending units as well.

They don't make a stock replacement with the fuel line located bottom back drivers...

I took the car on three rides since this silly thing popped up. I now believe it is resolved and as far as I can tell it was a super small leak in the gas line right next to the fuel pump. Time...

In my opinion this has distributor issue written all over it. Have you even had it apart?
Do yourself a favor pull the distributor tear it apart maybe by a spare first but get...

Also check that the weights in the distributor advance mechanism are operating properly and not stuck.

Transmission front seal (41 ford )??

I slightly bent the outer edge of the front Transmission oil seal. The seal is located within the throw out bearing and front bearing retainer.

The rubber seal and its inner steal spring are...

This is very helpful I may put a new gas tank in this winter so I guess I could buy one prepped for a fuel pump - lots of time to think about this. I just went out could I reproduce +the issue heck...

By the way the accelerator pump is working fine does approx. 20 cycles before it empties the carburator bowl

Update
Discovered car runs great until going up a long hill I now sucpect carb float adjustment or since I keep the tank full all the time could the fuel be blocking the fill thus the tank not...

Yes post a pic of the control board you made I'm past the point (and lack of space) to have a test stand but the control panel sounds cool.

Many thks guys! And yes you will love it building a frame to protect this thing for 6 mths or so I dropped it as the frame was not quite done but the 2x4 protected the tran case but the rear mount ...
